Here’s Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation Soft Beige 200 and 103 True Ivory.
Yes, this is my arm outside in the sunshine.
As you can see, the foundation tends to have a yellow undertone.
Here’s the foundation lightly blended on my arm. Notice my brown mole is completely gone?
How I use Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation:
- Moisturize my skin / apply sunscreen
- After the moisturizers have absorbed begin to apply
- Squeeze small amount onto fingertips
- Pat dots onto sections of skin (forehead, chin, cheeks, nose.)
- Using fingertips blend and pat onto skin
- Apply Coty airspun translucent powder
- Press into oily prone areas
You don’t really need any setting powder with this rimmel stay matte foundation, but I love to press city airspun translucent powder into my T-zone. There’s other mousse foundations, but this by far is the best. The sanitary bottle design is genius. With the squeeze tube design, you don’t have to worry about bacteria getting into the tube.
Where to buy Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation:
Best to apply Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation using fingers!
I love the ability to apply the foundation like I’m dabbing a moisturizer onto my skin. It’s also the way I recommend you apply it too if it’s your first time using the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation. I’ve seen some people leave bad reviews simply because they couldn’t blend the product. You shouldn’t use a stippling brush, I feel that’s more for a true liquid foundation.

Is Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation good for dry skin?
No. I don’t recommend this foundation for dry skin. If you do want to try it regardless, I recommend you deeply moisturize and do not use a setting powder. This foundation also dries very quickly.
Do you use Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder?
No. I personally don’t. I like to use a translucent lighter powder such as coty airspun powder.
Does Rimmel Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation last all day?
The wearability is good. However, if your skin is dry, it will accentuate dry flakey skin at the end of the day. Regardless, it’s a great foundation to try.
What’s the finish of Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Foundation?
It dries to a natural matte finish.
Does this foundation get cakey?
Don’t put too much on because yes it could get cakey. With this foundation, less is more. It’s full coverage already. You don’t need to apply more than one thin layer. I did experiment with this foundation and it became cakey when I applied more foundation than needed.
Does this foundation blend will with other foundations?
Yes! I have tried mixing a sample of 50% Rimmel stay matte liquid foundation with my Estee Lauder Doublewear full coverage foundation to give it a more liquid feel. I only did this because I had some old tubes of this foundation I wanted to use up. Worked great.
Is Rimmel cruelty-free?
Technically, NO! They claim on their website that they’re against animal testing… however, because they choose to sell in China, they MUST perform animal testing in order to meet China’s regulations. Rimmel could have decided not to sell in China. Instead, Rimmel throws China under the bus and cashes in.
