Today I want to share my review using the Thayers alcohol-free rose petal witch hazel toner with aloe vera.
If you know anything about witch hazel, you know it’s an amazing skin care astringent.
First of all you need to know that this Thayers witch hazel has the most incredible beautiful smell of roses. You’re going to LOVE it!

Hands down, I believe the rose petal version of Thayers witch hazel is the best since it combines the benefits of rose water and aloe vera.
I’ve been using witch hazel for the past five years and I’m in love with the skin care benefits of witch hazel to say the least. Witch hazel makes my pores smaller and gives me glowing fresh looking youthful skin, especially the rose petal version.
Who doesn’t want that? Feeling like such an expert about witch hazel, I’ve tried so many brands of witch hazel to compare the quality and see if there’s a witch hazel that will give me even more beautiful skin and yes there is and it’s this rose petal witch hazel by Thayers!
You have to try it, at least give it a smell – it has natural rose petal water + added skin benefits you’ll love.
Trust me, you want to switch to this all natural alcohol-free witch hazel. Most of all it’s organic and UN-DISTILLED witch hazel. Meaning it has all the skin loving tannins intact. And yes, full strength tannins for your skin leading to better skin.
This is crucial during the production of witch hazel, the tannins. They’re the star of the show. It’s as important as making sure your coconut oil is organic and cold pressed – keeping all the important nutrients whole an un damaged.

Regular production of witch hazel has alcohol in it and yes, with one quick swipe of a soaked cotton pad across your skin, you’ll see lots of oil coming off your face and onto the pad. I thought this was something good, well it was something but defiantly not good for my sensitive skin. The problem was it left my skin dry, tight, and stressed leading to over stimulating more oil production.
First, I want to share all the differences that have made me switch from my current drugstore witch hazel to this high quality and unique witch hazel that has added skin loving goodies. Especially if you have dry or acne-prone skin. You’ll want to switch to this version of witch hazel.
Here’s what makes is the best in my opinion. Just reading the label (great ingredients – including natural rose fragrance that’s real!), I was impressed. Then After one week using it on my face, I was beyond amazed at my results.
Many people don’t like the herbal smell of traditional witch hazel. If you’re one of those people, you’ll want to give this a smell! This rose petal water smells like a beautiful bouquet of roses. Best of all, it’s natural – not a fake added fragrance. You know how good real roses smell, and this witch hazel smells simply like heaven.
This higher quality of witch hazel worked faster than the other versions of witch hazel I’ve tried in the past.

The price. I’m used to finding witch hazel at Target for really cheap… under $2.00! I like a good deal and try to budget my skin care passion, however this was on my list of things to try. I splurged and bough rose petal formula along with the cucumber formula. Personally, I prefer this rose petal water version. I purchased them on amazon.com.
Second, I also want to mention I paid for these out of my own pocket and nobody contacted me to pay me for a review on Thayers witch hazel. This is a skin care product I love and recommend on my own.
There’s different formulas to try: Rose petal, Unscented, original, Lavender, and Cucumber.
My fiancé always compliments me that I have beautiful skin. Isn’t he sweet? He always thanks me for taking time to take care of myself. He really loves the way this rose petal witch hazel smells compared to the original distilled witch hazel. 😉

If you love the smell of fresh roses and having soft glowing skin, I urge you to give this a try. The two main ingredients – rose water and witch hazel are skin loving ingredients and I have never had any irritation with these ingredients. This is a nice edition to anyone’s skin care routine. I now use this brand instead of the inexpensive and harsh witch hazel I find at my local drug store.
This is also great for makeup free days, when you just want a natural glow to your skin without the guilt of makeup. You can wipe this witch hazel onto your skin liberally throughout the day to keep your face refreshed.
Perfect for summer days when I’m sweating and I just want a quick cleanse without using a face wash. It always leaves my skin feeling moisturized and clean.
Because it’s made without alcohol, you never have to worry about stripping your skin of natural oils. Also, if you have a minor cut, this witch hazel won’t sting your skin either.
There’s no added synthetic perfumes that irritate skin. It’s real rose water. Many people think that because it has a scent, the smell is added perfume. This quality product is real and all natural, another reason to love this toner.
