I love this article/blog! I recently went to all natural hair care (like i make my own at home) and starting out it striped my hair of all the bad icky stuff my old shampoo left on my hair* leaving it really dry and brittle. Almost as if i had bleached it! And i was afraid to use my favorite bristle brush because i thought it might damage it even more. I have been using a bristle brush for YEARS without even knowing all these benefits! Lol i love it. Thanx! 🙂

*watch out and make sure to check labels, even ‘natural’ products contain bad stuff for your hair. Most of which coat the outer layer causing build up and making it so your hair doesn’t get the proper nutrients it needs to heal!

Hi Jen, love your blog about boar bristle brush! I have recently purchased a 100% boar bristle brush from Acca Kappa and loving it… my scalp is dry and so is my hair, I have fine wavy to curly hair and this brush helps with my hair look its best 🙂 not to mention the calming effect I get when I am brushing it 😀
